The board consists of 7 members appointed by Governor with consideration of nominees by persons engaged in fish processing and commercial fishing. The board must consist of 5 seafood processors, 4 with annual payroll in Alaska of $2,500,000 or more and 1 with annual payroll in Alaska of $50,000 - 2,500,000, and 2 engaged in commercial fishing. Board elects chair.
